New Moon in Pisces: The End of the Dream

The final new moon before the astrological new year takes place in the sign of Pisces.

In the early morning hours, the healing new moon in Pisces promises to open a brand new chapter in our lives, but will first remind us that we need to close an old ledger.

Just like the end of the harsh winter that has settled upon us with all its weight, and the arrival of spring for which we have been impatiently counting down the days, as one cycle closes, a new one emerges, one after another...

In this transitional period, as we shed the dark winter and bloom into spring, our appetite for life slowly swells, yet we cannot swiftly cast off the burdens that have fallen upon us, 'as if taking off a dirty shirt.'

The pangs of endings indicated by the new moon's degree, the vague state of mind depicted by the sign of Pisces, and that limbo-like climate experienced when transitioning from one season to another, now prevail.

28 degrees is the degree of maturity for a sign; it depicts being on the verge of completion in the experiences related to that sign. However, there is a discomfort and constriction caused by not yet being complete. We are transitioning from one state to another; yet we are neither raw nor whole.

The fixed star Scheat at 28-29 degrees Pisces, in its simplest terms, also describes 'being a victim'. Behind this symbolism lie the meanings of being sacrificed or falling victim to something while playing the savior; and in a psychological sense, abandoning one's potential due to the belief of being a victim.

This new moon, occurring precisely at this degree, will remind us of the areas, people, and situations where we perceived ourselves as victims, disregarded our will, and squandered our power. A final reckoning and closure will take place concerning these issues, so that we can open a new chapter.

“When you see that the person you thought was struggling to walk is running for others, you will begin to understand where you made a mistake.” Tunç Tataker

The Pisces-Virgo axis is the victim-savior axis, and these two often transform into each other.

Sometimes, we don the 'savior's' cape and destroy ourselves for this role until we realize that we are the actual victims. Other times, we assume the victim identity, become passive, and desperately wait to be saved until we awaken to the truth that no savior will arrive.

Just as there is no prince to kiss and awaken us, the frogs we kiss turn into antichrists at the first opportunity.

In essence, no one can save anyone, and yes, they cannot victimize them either; the roles of victim and savior are merely an illusion that pleases the ego. With this new moon, we will finally awaken from this illusion we created, from this annoying and painful dream; we are at the end of the dream.

“Whoever breaks the chains embracing their chest and stops complaining is the greatest savior of their soul.” Arthur Schopenhauer

You are now at the point where you stop blaming yourself or someone else and cease complaining. Look, you have overcome the giant waves you struggled with for so long and thought would swallow you; you are on the shore. You are catching your breath, with the joy of 'I got off easy this time' intertwined with the fear of 'will I get caught by another wave?'. You think there is no other way than to hold yourself responsible for what happened or to be angry at the captain who sank the ship, and that is precisely why you are hurting.

Now, put aside the accusations.

Even if you had done it differently, it wouldn't have turned out differently. Tonight, at this very moment, what you need is not denial, but acceptance. Tonight, right now, go up high, perhaps to a terrace, perhaps to the mountains, and from there to the stars. Look at what happened from above. See the events through your widest lens, with your broadest perspective. We are in such a healing moment… This evening, an era is about to close. Do you feel it too? Look, winter is over, spring is coming.

Jupiter, ruling the new moon, has returned to direct motion, shining over the star Sirius in its wisest, most generous, and most healing form. It's almost as if it's carrying information from the future, making contact with Mercury, which perceives everything with broad understanding. Mercury is also in conjunction with Mars and the North Node. This time, it's not Pisces' self-deceiving, dreamy aspect that is emphasized; now, the issue is being able to see the truth in all its nakedness, without any fear.

Jupiter whispers from behind your shoulders at your most fearful moment: “If you choose not to repeatedly fall into dreams full of scenarios where you are a victim because it suits you, or to deceive yourself with the belief that you can save, fix, forcibly change someone, and get different results by acting like someone else; if you 'choose' to awaken from this deep sleep, no matter how sweet it may be, know that my hand is on your shoulder, you will never be alone.”

“There are some wounds; they heal not with time, but with acceptance.” Sabahattin Ali

In this healing new moon, 0 degrees Aquarius is rising; Pluto is also stationed upon it. Its ruler, Uranus's sharp aspect to the new moon, magnificently depicts an awakening from a false dream that seemed real, with a sudden jolt…

Tonight... there is a heart that overflows with enthusiasm, cannot be contained, and is at one with a brand new understanding outside the box.

Tonight... perhaps first a furious rebellion, but then a peaceful acceptance and freedom!

This new moon... carries that first breeze of spring, which will gently pinch your cheek in just a few days, wafting into your room…

For the first time, you are trusting life and what will happen next, and perhaps for the first time, you don't care so much about 'what didn't materialize'.

Tonight, there is no victim, no savior, no winner, no loser; it's over. There is only you, and you will now awaken from this annoying, painful dream.

Wake up!

With love and light💙

Full Moon in Aquarius: Odysseus's Captivity

Nolan's 'Odyssey' must have caught your eye, even if you haven't seen the film yet, as it's been excessively debated. As soon as I watched the film, I eagerly wanted to write about the Aquarius full moon; because the fact that a three-thousand-year-old narrative of 'hubris' has, one way or another, been thrust onto the surface of the collective consciousness right now makes my hair stand on end. Precisely as the nodes have shifted to the Leo-Aquarius axis and the Aquarius full moon, poised to sound the trumpet, is approaching...
