New Moon in Capricorn: Defying the Mountain

The first new moon of the new year is like a powerful motivational speech..

“There is no courage more tremendous than the courage born of pure despair.” Paul Tillich

This first new moon of the new year is like a powerful motivational speech whispered in our ears... The conjunction of Mercury and Mars in Capricorn, along with the Sun and Moon, makes it easier for us to take that first step towards our goals with an inner sense of determination and persistence.

For the last 2.5 years, Saturn has been in Pisces, and for the last 15 years, Neptune has been in Pisces; especially throughout 2025, they moved hand in hand; during this period, the 'go-getter' mountain goat spirit hidden within each of us became detached and moved away.

We neither moved forward nor backward, nor could we find peace by standing still. Mostly, we impulsively hit the gas or brake according to the ups and downs of our emotions, driving our vehicle aimlessly, swerving from side to side. We even gave this state a name, saying 'we are in the flow'.

We wanted to do many things but couldn't; sometimes we blamed external conditions or others; sometimes we lost our way and got lost on this uncertain path. The weariness of this frantic swaying is still laid upon us with all its weight, like dead soil.

We tried to cling to the perpetual flow of life with the feeling of not living up to our potential, not fighting enough for what we deserve, wasting our talents, and missing opportunities one by one. Feeling like we were always losing, falling behind, or being left behind in an endless world of comparison would be a tremendous summary of the past year.

If feelings of guilt, regrets, and the sense that the train has long left are gnawing at your soul, now listen to what the new moon has to say. The courage you thought was left in the past, or perhaps never existed, is now being subtly embroidered into your soul with this first new moon of the new year.

And this courage, this impetus for breakthrough, this desire to build from scratch comes from such a powerful, solid, and indestructible place within you that, the weary experience of past years and the despair you thought you couldn't escape are now literally becoming your primary fuel towards your current goals.

Instead of drowning in such a vise of despair, we set out with the determined resolve of a mountain goat that has sworn to climb the steepest, most impossible-looking slopes, to pierce through the harsh frosts blowing from the mountains, and to carve a new path for itself.

The lack of the fire element in the chart wonderfully describes how much our courage and self-confidence have been broken, and how, even in areas where we were once most assertive, we have timidly retreated and closed ourselves off day by day. Chiron, the sole carrier of the fire element, is in Aries and in a square aspect to the new moon. Chiron speaks of the wounds our will, strength, and self-confidence have sustained, the lies we tell ourselves, the 'you can't, you won't, that's not how things work' narratives. Our mind, which mercilessly judges itself for not being able to follow the rules set by others, the pre-drawn stereotypical paths, now directs its fiery arrows at its true enemy, its self-saboteur. This golden blow will update the wound and be the very thing that awakens our courage.

“But we cannot sit forever and look at our wounds.” Haruki Murakami

In the past, you may have probed these wounds; tried to understand their cause and find healing. But now it's time to put what you've learned in theory on your shoulders like an epaulet and climb the mountains. If you want to break free from this vicious cycle you're trapped in, this suffocating vise, this game of self-pity or resorting to excuses, then step forward. This powerful alignment in Capricorn provides both the key to the exit door and the roadmap to summits that now seem impossible:

Mercury in Capricorn signifies strategic intelligence,

Mars in Capricorn signifies dedicated diligence,

Moon & Sun in Capricorn signify a focused, planned, and realistic determination for lasting success,

Venus & Pluto in Aquarius signify that transcendent and transformative passion that desires to contribute both to yourself and to the community you belong to.

“One day the mountain in front of you will be so far behind you, you will almost not be able to see it. But the person you became learning to climb it... that person will stay with you forever. That was the purpose of your mountain.” Brianna Wiest

Let Jupiter's opposition to this determined and resolute alignment not deceive you. Indeed, on this arduous path, there is no room for emotions or the fragility of the ego. Jupiter reminds us of the importance of sprinkling a little bit of our intuition's magical elixir, which opens every door, into this strategic advancement. Climbing difficult peaks with determination, and alone if necessary, isn't just about good strategy or an agile body. It is the unquenchable fire of faith in your heart that carries you through those paths. It is the wisdom of your soul, which knows very well that all difficulties enabling you to overcome those obstacles one by one will eventually end. Remember, nothing but your deep faith in yourself and the path creates the way, opens it, and leads you to the summit.

And success belongs to those who climb the mountain despite the mountain itself. So, let's arm ourselves with stubbornness!

With love and light💙

Full Moon in Aquarius: Odysseus's Captivity

Nolan's 'Odyssey' must have caught your eye, even if you haven't seen the film yet, as it's been excessively debated. As soon as I watched the film, I eagerly wanted to write about the Aquarius full moon; because the fact that a three-thousand-year-old narrative of 'hubris' has, one way or another, been thrust onto the surface of the collective consciousness right now makes my hair stand on end. Precisely as the nodes have shifted to the Leo-Aquarius axis and the Aquarius full moon, poised to sound the trumpet, is approaching...
