Full Moon in Scorpio: Fear
The Scorpio full moon taking place this evening shines upon us like a lens, reflecting back to us our most secluded corners, our most hidden shadows, and our deepest fears.
“When fear knocks at your door, if you show the courage to open it, you will see that there is no one behind it.”*Maud Ankaoua
This evening's full moon shines upon us like a lens, reflecting our most secluded corners, our most hidden shadows, and our deepest fears.
We are confronting our fears that we hide from everyone, struggle to accept, subtly command our lives as we ignore them, and always prevent us from taking a step forward. The transformative glow of the Scorpio moon seeks to purify whatever has accumulated in the depths of our souls, blocking the flow.
Agendas likely to unfold during the full moon's influence are pushing these deep fears to the surface with a shock effect, forcing us to confront them. For in the deepest meaning of Scorpio lies our fears, hidden even from ourselves, and a true strength and resilience that we can only gain if we overcome them.
Our lives are stuck in a rut; we can neither move forward nor backward, and we know that there are some truths we must now accept. However, these truths trigger our dark fears that we never even want to make eye contact with; even the thought of them causes heart palpitations. Moreover, when a confrontation occurs, we will have to face that fear, make certain decisions, and even put an end to some things, and we are not yet ready to take on this responsibility. But we have also reached the end of the road we can travel by burying our heads in the sand, ignoring things, and pretending everything is fine. This full moon emphasizes this arrival at an end, yes, through a hard path, but never from a cruel or uncompassionate place. The fixed star Acrux, conjunct with the full moon, symbolizes a divine alarm that unties the blindfold of those who truly wish to see.
Nevertheless, do not expect to know, see, and understand everything in plain sight. In this full moon occurring in the 12th house, which we can call the blind spot of the chart, if there is something you need to know, it will certainly appear before you in a veiled manner. Any truth that needs to reach you will be shown in one way or another, through a feeling, word, message, vision, or dream. As the truths emerging into the consciousness of the Scorpio Moon cast a shadow over the Taurus Sun's desire for absolute peace, security, and comfort, you will accept that it is no longer useful to shield your thousand-year-old fears from this reality.
For Pluto, the modern ruler of the full moon, is squaring the full moon. You must now clash with your fear and transform by rising above it. You must cut away this incurable, gangrenous wound. You must see the nothingness behind fear.
On the other hand, the square aspect of Venus and Uranus, conjunct Aldebaran, located in the relationship house of the chart, to the lunar nodes, indicates that a test of honesty, a 'state of knowing', which will appear unexpectedly and shake the ground beneath our feet, can coincidentally and inevitably shift our course in a different direction.
It explains that some truths that have long slept in darkness will fall into our consciousness in an unexpected way, from an unforeseen place, like the fall of an angel, in a strange and divine manner, and that even if we wish to remain indifferent, it will no longer be systemically possible. At the point where we say, 'Actually, I knew it all along,' we must, of course, stop and think about why we constantly ignored that 'all-seeing eye' within us...
Scorpio does not only describe the cycle of death and rebirth; even before these, it represents our process of confronting our greatest fears, especially the fear of losing what we possess.
It is only when we confront these fears that we break our shells, shed old ones and replace them with new, and even strengthen our shell against life's harsh blows. Just like death... we eventually face our personal catastrophes and realize that fear is of no use against 'destiny'. Our greatest weakness, instead of running from it or clinging to it, transforms into our greatest strength when we learn to look it in the eye this time... Just like a child growing and strengthening by overcoming and jumping over their fears.
And now, Scorpio's chemistry, which dissolves like acid, burns, destroys, and creates anew in a different form, is striving to annihilate a cancerous cell that is lethally damaging the body.
Pluto is not in vain at the bottom of the chart, squaring the full moon. There is a vital task that has become urgent to complete, a reckoning, and a final point to be made. The air trine forming between Pluto, Venus, and Uranus is not without reason. This reckoning, this completion, this closure, liberates us.
The approaching square of Mars, the classical ruler of the full moon, with Jupiter indicates that we might be prone to disproportionate hysteria while embracing the truth. Yet, there is no need... It is enough to know and persistently remind ourselves that what truly angers us is not the transgression of our boundaries, but our inability to protect them.
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”*Frank Herbert
If I were to flee from this fear I face today, from its burning, scorching, transformative fire, if I were to hide in the hollow of a dark cave, would this fear, this fire, this truth lift its hand from me? Why am I living then, if I am to hide like this, if I am not to go through this valuable experience and learn, if I am to swim in this cave, in my own darkness, until the end of my life, imprisoning myself in these dark, comfortable hollows of falsehood, why am I really living? We will pass through this ring of fire one way or another, and we will grow on the path to becoming a complete human being (insan-ı kamil). Finding the resilience and transformative power of Scorpio within us, this time we will go towards this fire in our hearts with sawdust, gasoline, and bellows, if necessary. With our all-seeing eye, we will look into the pupils of fear and see that there is no one behind it, other than our own shadows...
With love and light.
