Full Moon in Libra: Foam

We wake up on the second day of April to a powerful full moon. The full moon in Libra, no matter how we look at it, refers to relationships. It takes place on the Aries-Libra axis and, by its very nature, brings a confrontation between two opposing ends. Moreover, in the chart we cast for Ankara, the lunar nodes are also attached to the 1-7 axis, which is the relationship axis. All these indicators suggest that this full moon invites us to a serious and realistic reckoning in our one-on-one relationships, bringing us to the brink of a fated and inevitable crossroads. Especially in all kinds of relationships where there is a distinction between 'you and I,' it points to us seeing areas where our own self and will conflict with our absolute loyalty to the relationship, and to us seeking balance between commitment and independence on one hand, and our needs versus what we sacrifice on the other.

Although Venus, the ruler of the full moon, appears comfortable in Taurus, a closer look reveals its crisis-ridden nature. Venus's trine with the South Node, which is closely aligned with the 7th house cusp, brings some unresolved issues from the past in relationships crashing onto our shores like a giant wave.

Moreover, Venus is progressing towards a square aspect with Pluto. Pluto, conjoined with Juno, indicates that crises fueled by possessiveness, obsessions, jealousy, and suspicion will subject relationships to an 'all or nothing' test. Although Venus will receive support from Jupiter afterwards, it is so restless that it is in no state to see this support. In the background, it is slowly advancing towards a Uranus conjunction that will snap the tightly stretched rope in an instant. Indeed, the new moon occurring in Aries on April 17th will also be marked by a Venus & Uranus conjunction.

This picture indicates that in the coming month, relationships will first experience a major crisis forcing transformation (Pluto) and then a significant break and liberation (Uranus). The Aries new moon, taking place at the final degrees, signifies closures as much as beginnings. The presence of 6 planets in Aries at the moment of the new moon indicates that we will now choose 'I' (self).

We also see Jupiter, the ruler of the Ascendant, in Cancer, where it is strong and at a super exalted degree. Jupiter also trines the North Node, Mercury, and Mars, along with the Ascendant. We understand that, in fact, we hold the reins; we are determined, faithful, even stubborn. However, Jupiter is in a challenging aspect with the full moon. This aspect depicts emotional weaknesses, exaggerated compassion, a toxic sense of belonging, and a commitment that has turned into addiction, preventing one from seeing the truth before them, and from accepting something that has long since ended…

In fact, a splinter in the eye is enough for us to see the truth, and this is what this full moon gives us. Everything you don't want to see, that you run from, and that you deceive yourself about, will be thrust into your face and cause discomfort. The Sun, which appears to have will, determination, and enforcement power in Aries, is still under the pressure of Saturn and Neptune; yes, perhaps strong but unable to find its direction, it takes refuge in existing reassurances—or rather, fake structures that appear to be reassurances—due to absurd, illogical inner confusion, lack of self-confidence, and unfounded fears like 'what will I do alone?' On the other hand, the very idea of seeking help from someone else is contrary to its nature; injustice bothers it, and the thought of being under someone else's rule angers it. But was it ever truly yours?

This full moon will thrust into your face whatever it takes to convince you of what you've denied—whether you like it or not. That splinter will pierce your eye once! The Sabian symbol for the full moon is beautiful: “Children blowing soap bubbles.” As you move towards your future, anything empty and temporary in your life, like a soap bubble, will vanish with this full moon, in an instant, poof! The light of the full moon will illuminate, one by one, everything you've suppressed all this time—your fears, your addictions, and most importantly, the areas where you've compromised your own rights. You say, 'I can no longer tolerate being ignored,' but in fact, you are ignoring yourself; this is the main point you will realize! The commitments you've been trapped in, like a soap bubble, are evaporating in the truthful heat of the Aries sun. This time, things won't just happen to you; this time, the decision will come from you, and whatever this decision may be, its decree will make you, and only you, sovereign.
