New Moon in Aries: Farewell

A new moon is occurring that serves as a complement to the Libra full moon, which took place two weeks ago and depicted the closing of an era in our relationships.

“If you are brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello.”

Paulo Coelho

A new moon is occurring as a complement to the Libra full moon that took place two weeks ago, which depicted the closing of an era in our relationships.

The intense fire of the Aries new moon, conjunct Chiron, offers an invitation to face our deep-rooted wounds—those that threaten our mind, soul, and even our body within this precious existence we call 'self,' burning us to ashes like a cauldron boiling beneath us; it fans the fire of courage within us.

Evidently, this spring, not only the air, earth, and water will awaken, but a fire that hasn't smoked for a long time will ignite within us; whatever it is that we previously swept under the rug, couldn't find closure with, perhaps coming from the past but definitely affecting our present, we will now look it right in the eye, deep into its eye.

The sky is overflowing with a reckless energy. This new moon, where six celestial bodies including the Sun and the Moon are in Aries at once, certainly promises the brave steps represented by Aries and the new beginnings represented by the new moon. However, as it occurs at 27 degrees, while it encourages taking action with a strong sense of 'self,' it primarily demands the reclamation of lost willpower and the termination of long-tolerated oppression.

Although Chiron's conjunction with the new moon indicates that necessary goodbyes may dig up our ancient wounds, we are not afraid. Our patience has overflowed so much that we have packed our bags in an instant, stood before the door, and are leaving the area without knowing where we are going. This is a kind of story of "risking the burn"; therefore, we do not need a comprehensive roadmap now, but only naked courage.

Because how many more times will we realize that we cannot get anywhere by clinging to the past and deceiving ourselves; awareness is no longer enough. Action is required. The 'maybe' of what never happened, the 'if only' of what was never said, and the 'but' of what has passed are now more than we can carry. Drop what is as it is and stand up. Hear what you have heard and accept it.

Say what you have to say and go.

Goodbye.

We must open the door and set out on the road. We must be willing to write our story from scratch, as always. It is not for nothing that the sky is clad in the crimson fire of Mars. The system signals to us that we are in the right motivation for the desired change, and that taking action to align with the future we have desired from the beginning can no longer be delayed.

‘I am going.’ These are the most beautiful words ever spoken. Say them. Then go.

Clarissa P. Estés

Mars, governing the new moon, supports our taking action: we have already tried every way, listened to everyone, collected every kind of data, and considered every possibility; there is no other way left, no exit other than that naked courage, only taking that first step remains. Although the fact that Mars, shining in its wildest state, will conjunct Saturn may seem like an obstacle, no, it is not. This important conjunction brings that wild spark within us into line; no, you will not explode with a moment's anger, no, you will not go astray; on the contrary, everything will happen with a magnificent calmness and order. We will laugh at the roaring paper tigers standing before us; we are so ready, so determined, that with this clarity, we will tear down all the walls built on our path anyway; Pluto’s supportive aspect shows that if destruction is necessary for change, we can even risk that. Perhaps there is only one thing we know: the time has finally come, and there is no tolerance for waiting.

On the other hand, Jupiter, trying to extinguish the fire within us with a bucket of water in hand, delivers a manipulative persuasion speech with a tale of rotten belonging and loyalty. With Chiron conjunct the new moon and the South Node on the ascendant, our self-doubt says, ‘Hey, I’m here too.’ We are frozen between lunging with reckless courage and risking burning to ashes for freedom, versus lying in ambush in the corner and waiting for the right moments, conditions, and people that will never come.

Suitcase in hand, standing on the threshold, we search our pockets for the map out of an old reflex. All the maps we have had until now have already been tried, showing streets that lead nowhere... This time, there is no map for the now. ‘Now’ is just born, brand new, uncertain... Not knowing the way is intimidating; even if we want to believe in the potential within this unknown, we cannot.

Chiron... Our insecurities, our feelings of weakness, that blind belief that we cannot succeed on our own... While the past pounces on us and tells the tale that ‘it will be the same again,’ virgin possibilities never tasted before wink at us. Our eyes are on that flickering light, while our hearts linger on the wound of the past, the future calls us with enthusiasm: ‘come fearlessly!’. Just as we are about to take a step, we hear the voice of the mind: ‘take precautions, don't go, stop!’

No!

Now there is no map, the compass is lost, and this time it needs to be this way. Do not stop that wild spark within you with endless precautions just when it has gained courage. You no longer need a victorious savior, a perfect plan, or an external voice telling you what to do. Look, the compass of your heart and the fire within you are showing you the way. And the silent help of the sages who know very well that you will never be mistaken on such a route.

“Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? And We removed from you your burden which had weighed upon your back?”

Surah Ash-Sharh (The Expansion)

Full Moon in Aquarius: Odysseus's Captivity

Nolan's 'Odyssey' must have caught your eye, even if you haven't seen the film yet, as it's been excessively debated. As soon as I watched the film, I eagerly wanted to write about the Aquarius full moon; because the fact that a three-thousand-year-old narrative of 'hubris' has, one way or another, been thrust onto the surface of the collective consciousness right now makes my hair stand on end. Precisely as the nodes have shifted to the Leo-Aquarius axis and the Aquarius full moon, poised to sound the trumpet, is approaching...
